June 5, Transfer news

This week week was great, we had some good times! They have a holiday called São João and so lots of people are having bonfires and we get invitations to go too. They will also have some famous brasil singers passing through our town so maybe we will get to watch some as we are passing by. We got to know this amazing kid Emily (which is actually spelled Hemilly) and this last sunday we met her and we've been teaching her this week and her baptism was on saturday and her confirmation yesterday, miracles do exist. She is so awesome and funny, she's 9  years old, she took hold to the gospel so fast, she had already been going to church with her aunts, so she was already accustomed to church and when we found out she wasnt baptized and and asked if she wanted to be she smiled and nodded very happily "yes".

On the other hand I'm getting really frustrated with the lan houses of brazil because I keep getting viruses! I fixed the last one but now there is another one that  deleted only this last week, which isn't too bad except it had the baptism photos in it; I'm still trying to fix it to see if I can recover them but they seem like really gone,  and I will be sad because I think they are the only photos that we took.? But I will work to find/fix this.

The other photo is us walking in front of a catholic march to their church. It was funny that the two mormon missionaries were "leading" their little march but it was just coincidence, so we took a picture. Which is also the last photo...

In the transfer I will stay in Serrinha and my companion will be Elder J. Silva who I do not know yet, and my companion Elder Dos Santos will take the 20hr bus ride to Barreiras which I think is as far as you can go in the mission. 

I think that's all the news for  this week other than  realizing that I've become more tan and blonde :) Tchau!

A very short note the week of Fourth of July

I didn't get a chance to email last week for several reasons but I'm fine. And funnily enough I don't have anytime now either to write anything other than I'm fine because we only have one computer and our time ran out, sorry if this is unsatisfying, it is for me... hopefully a few quickly attacthed photos will help? Me, me on a motocycle in the chapel, and other stuff, I didnt look very long... Love Y'all.  mas agente vamos.. 🎊󾓦4th of July I almost forgot because it was just another day here but I think i attached a photo of all that i did for the holiday here

Sao Joao

This week was a little crazy but awesome at the same time. We had the festival/holiday of São João and the city made the praças all beautiful and had some famous singers pass by but they are only popular in Brazil so you won't know them, but the most famous was Mateus and Kauan; we didnt get to see any of it because the shows were past the missionary schedule to sleep. But we did get to see some people dancing a day earlier and it was pretty cool, I took a video but it just doesn't show how cool it was; and this São João buisness is only in the northeast of brasil so its only regional to here and not to the south like São Paulo. I heard you can get cuzcuz there in the US but it isnt the same, its made with corn and its in flakes, but I will have to try it to know, and its good. We had P-day in Feira de Santana today but traffic was horrible because everyone is returning from traveling during the festival so the 1hr travel took almost 3hrs, and know the worst part? there were no more seats on the bus so we had to stand the whole way. I couldn't take it so I sat on the floor of the bus for the last hour. But we played vollyball and ate chicken strogenoff, so it was good. We ordered pizza a few times this week but I still think that american pizza is better but I do appreciate the chance to try pizza that is different and is good.
